The Senior BJP Leader Basit Hayat Zargar criticized the remarks made by INC Leader Rahul Gandhi in an interaction at the independent policy institute Chatham House in London on Monday evening.
He said “As a representative of India, the opposition party’s leader should’ve measured his words before delivering those remarks regarding Democracy in India. It’s regrettable that such remarks have been said on a foreign land when there’s no chance of fair rebuttal.”
He added, “The recent election results in North Eastern region of India have clearly shown that people have favoured the developmental politics of the BJP and rejected hateful politics by the opposition. It is high time opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi acknowledge people’s choice and stop insulting the same, as that begets danger to our democracy.”
Basit Hayat Zargar also expressed his concern regarding the fallacy and unfounded claims uttered by the opposition leader.
He said, “Rahul Gandhi has embarrassed our country, and hurt the spirit of the citizens of our country in a foreign land while trying to criticize the BJP and RSS, and that too on a subject of our country’s internal affairs that no foreign country must intervene.”
He asserted said that he stands with the Union Government and the BJP over their stance at Rahul Gandhi’s shameful remarks based on unfounded claims.
He further said, “Every Indian can feel the embarrassment caused by Rahul Gandhi’s insulting remarks, and the Indian National Congress and Rahul Gandhi, himself, should give clarification regarding those remarks.”
