Batote records highest April temperature in 22 years, 2nd highest for Jammu in 12 years

Jammu City on Thursday recorded a maximum temperature of 41.0°C which is the highest of this season so far and also the 2nd highest since 2011.
The city had previously recorded a maximum temperature of 42.3°C on 17 April 2010 and 41.7°C on 21 April 2017.

Batote recorded a maximum temperature of 30.6 degrees Celsius on Thursday, which tied with the previous record set on 30 April 1999.
The all-time highest temperature for the station is 31.2°C recorded on 30 April 1993.

At 37.8°C, Katra recorded its highest April temperature since at least 2011. The temperature beat the previous record of 37.4°C set on 21 April 2017.
The all-time highest April temperature recorded at the station is 39.3°C observed on 30 April 1999.
