Department of Rural Development and Panchayti Raj has ordered suspension of Tanvir Ahmad, who was looking after the charge of Block Development Officer, Zainpora, District Shopian and had been trapped and arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on July 7, 2022.

According to an order in this regard, Tanvir Ahmad shall be deemed to have been placed under suspension with effect from the date of his arrest by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K. He shall remain attached with the Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir during the period of his suspension.

Action against the officer has been taken in terms of Rule 31(2) of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
