Budgam, July 22, KP: A day after the killing of a young boy in army firing, Central Kashmir’s Beerwah town observed a complete shutdown to mourn his killing.
Tanvir Ahmed, a tailor by profession was killed when Army opened fire on alleged protesters. Another youth Muhammad Ibrahim was wounded and has been going under treatment in the hospital.
Eyewitnesses told CNS that all the shops and business establishments remained shut in the town and its adjoining areas including Khag and Aripanthan.
To stop protests in the town, government forces were deployed in strength who sealed the entry and exit points of the Beerwah town.
Pertinently, police has lodged a murder case against the army while district administration has announced an exgratia relief for the victims family. (KP)
