Body of Srinagar man retrieved from river Jhelum in Ganderbal.

The body of a 46-year-old man, who had jumped into river Jhelum four days ago, was on Friday retrieved from the river near Lati, Rabitatar in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official told news agency that the deceased identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Hundo, son of Mohammad Abdullah Hundo (46), resident of Maharaj Gunj Srinagar, had jumped into river Jhelum almost four days back at Aali Kadal Srinagar following which the rescue operation as launched to retrieve his body.

He said that the police spotted the body lying in River Jhelum at Lati Rabitatar.

Furthermore, the body has been handed over to police post Urdu Bazar Srinagar, he said .
