Body of a male was recovered from river chenab in Doda district on Friday morning.

Reports reaching here said that yesterday evening a male dead body was seen floating in the river Chenab near Trungle area Bridge in Assar Tehsil.

Rescue team were not able to retrieve body yesterday due to darkness. Meanwhile operation  was resumed in morning and body was successfully retrieved from river.

The body has been identified of Mohd Rafiq son of Gh. Hassan resident of Sekwan, Doda who had jumped from Ganpat Bridge on 13-04-2020. Meanwhile police has registered a relevant case in this regard. (GNS)
