Bootlegger arrested in Baramulla, 17 bottles of Illicit Liquor recovered: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 17 bottles of illicit liquor at Kralhar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

                                                                                                                                                                               A Police spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Sajjad Bukhari-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by DySP Prob. Naveed Ahmad Qazi, SHO PS Baramulla arrested Bootlegger namely Mohd Abbas Dar S/O Ab Khaliq Dar R/O Fatehpora Baramulla who was travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK05H-6961 and was intercepted at Kralhar Baramulla who upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.

“During the search of vehicle 17 bottles of Illicit Liquor was recovered from and was taken into custody immediately”, he said.

                                                                                                                                                                                      He said that Case under 48 Excise Act registered in Police Station Baramulla* and investigations set in motion.
