Braids of two more women were cut as first such incident was reported from Baramulla district of north Kashmir on Thursday.
Locals in Khoja Bagh area of Baramulla said that an unidentified person cut the braid of a teenage girl during wee hours today.
They said that the girl is living with her parents in private family quarters in Khoja Bagh from past ten years.
The family is originally from Uri area of the district.
Soon after the incident, a police party from Baramulla Police station reached at the spot to interact with the family members and the victim.
In a separate incident, a 45-year-old woman’s braid was chopped off outside her house in Nawdal village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district last evening.
The family members said that the victim was attacked as she tried to enter the washroom located outside the house.
A police official confirmed the incident. He said they have started the investigation.
