Ganderbal, Oct 10 : The residents of Brindara village in Central Kashmir;s Ganderbal district here are facing inconvenience due to dilapidated condition of roads and demanded authorities to macadamize the roads at earliest.

The only link road which connects them with the District headquarter remains in shambles since years and despite repeated requests made to authorities, no heed has been paid so far, the residents told the news agency—

According to the people in 2018, the R&B department completed the land acquisition and promised the completion of the road within one year but left it abandoned without executing the construction work.

The locals said that, during bad weather, the normal life in the area gets badly affected as the muddy road becomes slippery, which adds to the misery of residents.

In case of medical emergencies, they have to arrange 5 to 6 men to take the patient on shoulders, they said, adding that the village has been ignored and thus simultaneously leaving the local populace to lurch at large.

Meanwhile, Executive Engineer R&B while talking assured that the work on the road will be executed soon, saying that the project report has been submitted to higher authorities for approval.
