A senior BSF officer confirmed that a crowd of around 500 at three-four locations along International Border in North Bengal gathered.

“Initially, there were 50 people that swelled to 300-500 at various locations. The crowd is attempting to sneak into Indian territory,” said the officer.

The officer added that the crowd was dispersed at all locations with the help of Border Guard Bangladesh, Civil Administration, and BSF personnel.

BSF North Bengal Frontier troops are vigilant and are on high alert amidst the ongoing Bangladesh crisis, carrying out extensive operations to ensure effective border management and prevent any illegal entry or smuggling activities along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. (ANI)
