Budgam Police busts a gang of car jackers, 5 vehicles recovered,02 persons arrested

Budgam October 03 :  Acting on an information, Police Station Chadoora Budgam busted a gang of car jackers/thieves and arrested 02 persons involved in the sale and purchase of stolen vehicles. The modus operandi of the involved gang has been to smuggle the stolen vehicles from other states with fake and forged documents and selling the same to the locals at quite a cheaper rates.

A case FIR No. *135/2022* under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation started.

During the course of  investigation, police raided several locations and recovered 05 stolen vehicles having forged registration numbers and documents. The recovered vehicles included:
*Maruti Breeza 01 No.,*
*Maruti Beleno 02 Nos* and
*Maruti Swift 02 Nos*
The arrested persons have been identified as:-
*1. Mohammad Yousuf Bhat son of Abdul Rehman Bhat resident of Karpora Charar-I-Sharief* and
*2. Irshad Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Raheem Sheikh resident of Bugam Batapora Chadoora.*

Investigation of the case is going on and involvement of some more persons has been established in the said case and are expected to be arrested very soon.
