Bye-Elections to 27-AC Budgam: First randomisation of counting staff held in Budgam

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 06: The District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today, conducted the first randomization of counting staff ahead of the counting of votes for bye-Elections to 27- Assembly Constituency Budgam.

The process is designed to ensure transparency and fairness in the upcoming counting of votes, scheduled to be held on 14th of November 2025 at Boys Higher Secondary School, Budgam, for the 27-AC Budgam.

The randomization involved selecting 66 personnel which includes, Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants and Micro Observers, including 80% reserve personnel, who will oversee the counting process.

The randomization process was conducted through dedicated software in accordance with the prescribed guidelines of the Election Commission of India, ensuring fairness and impartiality in the selection of polling staff.

The event held at DC Office Budgam was attended by senior district officials, including RO to 27-AC Budgam Afroza Bano; Deputy DEO, Hilal Ahmad; DIO NIC Budgam and other senior officials.
