The resignation by Dr. Shah Faisal from Indian Administrative services to protest against the unabated killings in Kashmir will visualize new beginning in Kashmir’s politics. If he makes an Independent party, this will be an emergence of a new force. The cry for kind of new in politics is resonating in Kashmir. The People Conference couldn’t be called as an advent of new leadership because they have already been descried by the people of Kashmir. Dr. Shah Faisal, the former I.A.S topper can really rode a new wave for cleaner politics and better government. If Dr. Faisal, celebrity with his own intellectuality, came to power he might sweep away the family based nepotism and corruption that have been so curtailed Kashmir’s progress since the emergence of NC and PDP and as well as “Khandani Raj” will come to an end. It seems that Dr. Shah Faisal can wipe away the dust which NC and PDP have been hurling in the eyes of India. PDP and NC having been speaking bilinguistics, one at New Delhi and other at Kashmir.
Mehbooba Mufti has said that there is complete disconnect between New Delhi and Kashmir, I wonder as to why she feels this disconnect only when she is out of power. The late PDP leader Mufti Mohammad Syed and later his daughter Mehbooba Mufti have been using Separatist rhetoric on their way to taking state power. On the other hand Mr. Farooq Abdullah is saying that he will bring Autonomy for J&K . In New Delhi he says that Kahmir is an integral part of India and “Bharat Matta Ki Jai” and Pakistan is our enemy. If Mr. Farooq Abdullah feels so and he is the loyal citizen of India, whey there is a need of Autonomy for J&k. so there is something which New Delhi has failed to understand that Kashmir is a political problem with economic dimensions, the issue can’t be resolved with oppression and militarization. So we have been realizing that these two main stream political parties have been deceiving New Delhi as well as people of Kashmir. The need of the hour is to stand against this deception and deficit of politics. If Dr. Faisal says that he has sacrificed bureaucratic job and its perks, for the ill-fated Kashmiri people he should come on the forefront as an Independent voice of Kashmir. I believe he can connect the voice of the Kashmiri people to the rest of the world. The main point of his party manifesto should that all the main stream leaders whether it is Abdullah’s or Mufti’s progenies should be behind bars, they not only deceived but they have killed, looted public money also.
I still remember when Mr Imran Raza Ansari left the PDP party, He said that he has not looted Public money rather than Abdullah’s Progeny. He said Mr. Farooq and Omar Abdullah are called Kashmiri sheikhs in New Delhi, because they have houses in New Delhi, France, and London. What was Mr. Sheikh Abdullah? And how they got these Properties? Mr. Sheikh Abdullah was teacher by his profession he said. So I feel that when the robbers are kept for questioning by police, one says that he has embezzled much Gold and I have only embezzled Sliver, it is same with the main stream Politicians of J&K. now it is evident that they all are sailing in the same boat. Kashmiri people will not get electrified by Azaadi rather than seeing these people behinds bars.
In order to be a renowned leader, one must have goods tactics and strategies, be filled with the knowledge and also be able to predict future. Dr Shah Faisal should come up with these qualities and strength of character to confront what many of them see as a deadly military occupation of their homeland.
In the interviews of Dr. Shah Faisal, he said that he will work for the youth, I hope he is aware that most of the Kashmir diaspora are working outside and are in the top level management of multinational companies. So the biggest challenge for him to create a platform for those Kashmiri diaspora who are working outside and bring back them as ray and rope of Kashmir politics. Let serve home first .we should utilize the talents which are lying in the foreign countries.
A lot of problems have been faced by the Kashmiri people since the long pending violent conflict issue of Kashmir. We people have seen militancies, political instability and economic crisis,unemployment , killings and disappearances of youth. We see Dr. Shah Faisal as an illuminating candle,who can end up these issues and can depict the aspirations of Kashmiri people to India and rest of the world.
