Miscreants have looted unaccounted cash from a donation box at a Gurduwara in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The incident occurred at Khasipora Tral during the intervening night of 11 and 12 July at Gurudwara Singh Sabha.

DDC member Avtar Singh Trali told news agency that the Gurudwara is under construction and devotees had donated a lot of money that had been kept in the safe and strong donation box, which was looted by the burglars.

He expressed concern and hoped that police will nab the culprits. Avtar Singh Trali appealed to the government to deploy security guards at minority religious places.

Pertinently, burglars in Kashmir Valley in the past have targeted the religious shrines mostly belonging to the majority community. (KNT)
