New Delhi, Dec 16 (KNC): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of inter-cadre deputation of senior IPS officer Ms. Sarah Afzal Ahmed Rizvi from Gujarat cadre to the AGMUT cadre, posted in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the ACC cleared the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend Ms. Rizvi’s deputation tenure for a further period of two years beyond October 20, 2025.

The extension has been granted on the grounds of personal hardship, the order stated. Ms. Sarah Afzal Ahmed Rizvi is a 2008-batch IPS officer of the Gujarat cadre currently serving in Jammu and Kashmir under inter-cadre deputation.

The decision was taken after due consideration of the proposal forwarded by the Ministry of Home Affairs, officials added. (KNC)
