Srinagar, Publish Date: Dec 6 2017

Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday said that Saudi Arabia and Iran need to take a lead in forging unity among the Islamic nations.
Addressing a seerat conference in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said that the Islamic world was facing “one of the most challenging times on all accounts in its history”.
“The only way to overcome it is by unity among them (Islamic nations), rising above sectarian divides and regional upmanship,” he said, adding that “Saudi Arabia and Iran have to take a lead in this (unity).”
