On 16/05/2019, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station, Trikuta Nagar by Jagdish Raj Sharma S/O Paramanand Sharma R/O 142/2 Shanti Nagar Old Janipur to the extent that complainant had been doing the business of sale/purchase of fruits at Fruit Mandi, Narwal.
In the month of Sept.2015 accused namely Saleem Qureshi S/O Hanief Qureshi R/S Bavli Road, Patti Chaudaran, Baraut Distt. Bhagpat (UP) came to
complainant at his shop Fruit Mandi, Narwal and gave him a proposal that he will purchase fruits from complainant in bulk for selling them at main wholesale Fruit Markets outside J&K.
Under a well-hatched conspiracy, initially accused made some payments to complainant but when the balance payment accumulated to Rs. 70,00,000/ (Seventy lacs), he started avoiding phone calls of complainant and stopped coming to J&K. Moreover, accused threatened complainant of life if he dares to come to Baraut (UP).
Left stunned with the cheating, complainant approached police and case FIR no. 137/19 U/S 420/506 RPC was registered at P/S Trikuta Nagar in the month of May, 2019.
During the course of investigation, police teams were deputed to Baraut, UP no. of times but he could not be traced. This time, special police team was constituted by SSP Jammu Sh. Chandan Kohli IPS.Police team from P/S Trikuta Nagar led by PSI Adarsh Thakur was deputed to Baraut (UP) to nab the cheater. Police team conducted raids at different places and finally accused was apprehended from the AOR of P/S Mundka, Delhi.
Accused has been remanded to police custody. Police team led by PSI Adarsh Thakur made the arrest under the guidance of Insp. Deepak Pathania SHO PS Trikuta Nagar and under the supervision of Sh. Sajjad Sarwar, JKPS SDPO City East Jammnu and Sh. Deepak Digra JKPS SP City South Jammu.
