Chief Engineer PHE Kashmir Reviews Water Supply Projects in Bijbehara

Bijbehara, Jan 18 (KNC): Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir, Rakesh Gupta on Saturday evening conducted an extensive site inspection of various Water Supply Schemes being executed under UT CAPEX (SASCI), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and NABARD in areas falling under the jurisdiction of Jal Shakti PHE Division Bijbehara.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the inspection was aimed at assessing the physical progress of works, quality of workmanship and the overall implementation status of the ongoing schemes.

The inspection covered several key projects including WSS Foharbatpora under UT CAPEX (SASCI), WSS Siligam Tantraypora under JJM, WSS Raimbirpora Kheribal under UT CAPEX, upgradation of WSS Latroo, WSS Larnoo under NABARD and WSS Khandi Phari under UT CAPEX (SASCI).

The Chief Engineer was accompanied by the Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic Circle Anantnag, along with concerned Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and field staff. During the tour, different components of the schemes were closely examined and detailed on-spot discussions were held with the officers regarding execution and timelines.

The Chief Engineer issued necessary directions to ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, quality control norms and timely completion of the projects so that the objective of providing safe and adequate drinking water to the public is achieved at the earliest. (KNC)
