Delhi, Aug 20: In a significant detection at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, CISF personnel deployed at Random X-BIS, ASG Delhi, detected cash amounting to ₹68,53,500 from two passengers based on behavioural observation and subsequent CCTV analysis.
Acting on suspicion, CISF personnel identified a passenger for detailed screening. During CCTV review, another passenger accompanying him was also identified. Both passengers were travelling to Guwahati and onward to Agartala.
During detailed screening of their baggage, a total of ₹68.53 lakh in cash was detected from both passengers.
The passengers, along with the detected cash, baggage and relevant travel documents, were handed over to the Income Tax officials for further necessary action.
The detection once again highlights the vigilance, behavioural observation skills and alertness of CISF personnel in maintaining security at the nation’s busiest airport.
