Srinagar, Apr 25: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a spell of mixed weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days, with intermittent light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds expected at several places.

According to the latest forecast, the weather on April 25 is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy, with one or two spells of light rain or thundershowers at scattered to many locations, accompanied by gusty winds during the afternoon and evening hours.

The MeT department has predicted generally dry weather on April 26, while conditions may again turn generally cloudy on April 27 and 28, with light rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds expected at scattered places, mainly during afternoon and evening hours. 

For April 29 and 30, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with brief spells of light rain or thunderstorms at a few places, particularly towards late afternoon. Similar conditions are likely to continue into early May, with mostly dry weather on May 1 and 2, followed by brief spells of rain at isolated places on May 3 and 4. 

The MeT office has advised farmers to resume agricultural operations during the relatively dry window around April 26.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather conditions are expected to persist over parts of the Jammu division, including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Reasi, and Udhampur districts, with the possibility of heatwave conditions at isolated places on April 25 and 26. Residents have been advised to avoid heat exposure during peak hours and stay hydrated.
