Srinagar, December 15: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday issued a strong warning against political interference in institutions, asserting that such practices are unacceptable and must be addressed with seriousness. Describing reports of interference as “unfortunate and worrisome,” he stressed that government departments and corporations must function autonomously, free from external pressure or political considerations.
Speaking at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar, the Chief Minister said that restoring public trust in governance and administration is as vital as shaping a positive narrative around tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
