Srinagar, Jan 29 : Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, on Wednesday expressed shock over the untimely demise of senior Maharashtra leader Ajit Pawar.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, CM Omar said he was deeply saddened to hear about Ajit Pawar’s passing and recalled his long association with the late leader.

“I have known Ajit Pawar since my college days in Bombay when I stayed with Sharad Pawar Sahib and his family at Varsha,” he said.

Ajit Pawar was an able administrator and a consummate political organiser whose loss will be deeply felt,” Omar Abdullah wrote.

The Chief Minister said he joined his father in extending heartfelt condolences to Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule, and the entire Pawar family during this moment of grief. —(JKNS)
