Srinagar, June 23: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday met Mr. Choedak Gyatso and Mr. Gonpo Dhundup, Members of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, in Srinagar and discussed issues related to the welfare and well-being of Tibetan communities residing in Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, the visiting representatives expressed their gratitude for the support, cooperation and hospitality extended to the Tibetan community in the Union Territory. They also appreciated the efforts being made for their welfare.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah thanked the delegation for their kind words and reaffirmed the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s commitment to the welfare, dignity and well-being of Tibetan residents living in the region.

The interaction highlighted the longstanding bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Tibetan community ( Kashmir Pen )
