Srinagar, Dec 8— Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a key review meeting to assess ongoing tourism promotion and publicity initiatives aimed at boosting the Union Territory’s visibility and visitor engagement.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister underscored the need for a more strategic and proactive approach to tourism outreach, highlighting its role in strengthening J&K’s position as a premier travel destination. He emphasized the preparation of an advance calendar of events, stating that such planning would allow better coordination, timely promotions, and seamless execution of tourism-related activities across regions.
Omar Abdullah reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing tourist experiences while promoting diverse tourism circuits including heritage, adventure, pilgrimage, winter, cultural, and eco-tourism.
The meeting also discussed leveraging digital and traditional media platforms, collaborative campaigns, and stakeholder engagement to broaden outreach and attract both domestic and international travelers.
