SRINAGAR, Sept 4: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday visited flood-affected areas in Budgam and the outskirts of Srinagar, reaching interior localities by boat to assess the situation firsthand.

The Chief Minister directed the administration to ensure immediate evacuation of families from inundated areas and to provide temporary shelters equipped with essential supplies, including safe drinking water.

Urging residents to remain cautious, Omar Abdullah appealed to people in nearby areas to follow advisories and extend full cooperation to the authorities so that relief and rescue operations can be carried out effectively | Kashmir Pen
