Srinagar, Aug 19: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday undertook an extensive tour of Srinagar city and inspected key infrastructure and healthcare projects in the Shehar-e-Khaas area.

During the tour, the Chief Minister inspected the site for the proposed bridge at Barbar Shah. Officials said once completed, the bridge will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion for commuters heading into Shehar-e-Khaas and ensure smoother transit and improved urban mobility.

As part of the city tour, Omar Abdullah also inspected the new building of the Maharaj Gunj Urban Primary Health Centre.

The upgraded facility blends modern healthcare infrastructure with the area’s rich historical character. Officials said it will significantly strengthen patient care and healthcare delivery in the heart of Shehar-e-Khaas.

The Chief Minister reviewed the status of works and directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality and utility for the public.
