Rules out any Mojor snowfall, Says, light to Moderate snowfall expected at many places of J&K ladakh from 22nd Dec evening to 25th Dec

Srinagar, Dec 18 (KP):  Meteorological department Srinagar On saturday modifies earlier forecast while ruling out any major snowfall and Predicts Cold wave weather conditions in next days.
Director Meteorological department Sonam Lotus said, according to forecast based on today’s analysis and observations, Mostly Dry and cold weather most likely to continue till 22nd forenoon in both UTs.
Adding that , There is a modifications in early forecast of snowfall. Now, there’s No forecast of any major snowfall in both UTs, He siid.
Sonam Lotus said, However, light to Moderate snowfall is expected at many places of J&K and at scattered places of Ladakh especially along Sonmarg-Drass, Parkachik-Padum axis during 22nd(Evening) to 25th.
Commenting on Cold wave, Sonam Lotus says, Due to mainly clear sky, Night temperature Is most likely to Fall further during nxt 3 days, Thereafter, due to a approaching Western Disturbance, we expect gradual Fall in day temp. And slight Rise in Night temp. from 21st to 26th Dec, he added.
