In a warm and uplifting message to the citizens of Srinagar, Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS, has extended his heartfelt greetings on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as the Night of Power.

This sacred night, which commemorates the first revelation of the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAWW), serves as a profound moment for reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

Dr. Owais emphasized the extraordinary significance of Shab-e-Qadr, highlighting its value as a night that surpasses a thousand months in blessings. “Shab-e-Qadr is not just a night of individual devotion; it is a time for collective worship and unity,” he stated. “Let us use this occasion to come together as a community, fostering a spirit of peace and harmony.”

In a bid to enhance the spiritual experience for residents, Dr. Owais has initiated vital measures to ensure a clean and serene environment throughout Srinagar. These initiatives include comprehensive cleanliness drives, improved sanitation, and an uninterrupted water supply, ensuring that citizens can immerse themselves in prayer and reflection without distraction.

“As we observe this sacred night, let us also remember the values of compassion and solidarity that bind us together,” Dr. Owais added. “May Shab-e-Qadr inspire us all to strengthen our bonds and work towards a peaceful coexistence.”
