Senior Congress leader and former MLA Devsar Haji Mohammad Amin Bhat welcomed the decision of authorities to release former Chief Minister and NC vice president Omar Abdullah from the detention after nearly eight months.

“This is good move but authorities must pay heed towards other detainees as well and release of all political leaders at an earliest,” he said.
He also demanded immediate release of other political leaders including former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti besides all detainees of Jammu and Kashmir who are here or outside.
