Srinagar June 21: Urging the Divisional Administration to ensure adequate supply of essentials to people on the auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qader and Eid-ul-Fitr, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has said that people should not suffer on account of essentials on these auspicious occasions.
The Party Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi emphasized that Divisional Administration should maintain complete vigil on the supply of essentials and ensure that people do not suffer on account of ration, sugar, kerosene and others essentials.
He also emphasized that Food and Supplies department should take effective measures to check the market prices on essentials under control and also keep tight vigil on the black marketing of essentials.
The Spokesperson further said that it would be better if market checking squads are deployed in every market in Srinagar District and elsewhere so as to ensure that consumers are not charged double prices. (CNS)
