A 33-year-old policeman died of bullet injury in Jammu district late last night, officials said on Sunday.

When contacted SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli said that constable Pankaj Bahaal of Pascal village in Bishnah Arnia died of bullet injury and “the circumstances are being investigated.”

“Investigation is underway in this matter and inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC have been initiated,” the officer added. (GNS)
