Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday decided to provide two months ration in advance to consumers.

“Advance ration for two months viz. April and May would be issued to all eligible consumers. Besides, one month’s ration for Mid-Day Meals would also be given in advance to all parents of eligible children,” said the Department of Information & Public Relations, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, on Twitter
The union territory administration in Sunday announced a lockdown across Jammu and Kashmir till March 31 as part of its efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.

People associated with 16 essential services, including healthcare, have been exempted from the restrictions.
