The parents of students studying in Iran on Monday staged a protest at Magam Budgam, demanding authorities to evacuate their beloved from the Jasalmer Rajasthan where they have completed the quarantine period after returning from outside country.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the students returned from Tehran University of Medical Science, Iran on March 15 and have already completed 15 days quarantine period at Rajasthan but were not allowed to travel to Kashmir yet, parents said.

A group of 120 students reached Rajasthan on March 15 and were immediately sent for quarantine for 14 days, they said, adding that they have completed 15 days quarantine period but are still not being evacuated.

They said they were worried about the well being of their kids and the government should send them back to their homes at an earliest.

“All of them have been tested negative. We urge the administration to evacuate the students to Kashmir,” parents said—
