Court rejects bail plea of woman accused of kidnapping child In Kishtwar

A local court on Thursday rejected bail plea of a woman accused of kidnapping a 6-month-old child from a hospital in Kishtwar district last month.    

In a swift action and with the aid of the network of CCTV cameras, police was able to rescue the child within seven hours of his abduction from the hospital on September 27. 

The woman who allegedly kidnapped the child was arrested during the operation led by Senior Superintendent of Police (Kishtwar) Shafqat Hussain Bhat.

Official sources told GNS that bail plea of the accused woman, Shabnam Begum, was rejected by The Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar after hearing her counsel and prosecution.
