A day after her death, an elderly woman from Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus on Saturday, thus taking the overall death toll due to virus to 92.

Officials said that a 70-year-old woman from Sopore who died at SMHS on Friday evening tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

Dr. Nazir Choudhary, Medical Superintendent at SMHS told that a 70-year-old lady from Sopore who was admitted on June 25 at SMHS died on June 26.

“Her sample was taken and tested positive after her death,” he said, adding that she was a COPD patient and was also suffering from pneumonia,” he added.

With her death, the death toll in J&K due to COVID-19 has reached to 92 including 81 from Kashmir division and 11 from Jammu division. (KNO)
