Covid-19: Bank branch sealed after two employees tests positive in Budgam

The district administration Budgam on Friday closed the Jammu and Kashmir bank branch after its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Dr Tajamul told that two employees of JK Bank Budgam were detected positive on being tested for Coronavirus (Covid 19) in Budgam, after that the Bank was closed for sanitization activities as per SoP as a safety measures.

He said “All the close contacts including employees have been asked for home quarantine for five days and accordingly will be tested for this deadly virus.

An official from Budgam administration told that the bank has been closed for five days to follow the guidelines of the administration and health department SoP. The branch is being properly sanitized as per norms.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to Covid-19 has crossed 2092-mark in Jammu and Kashmir as eight more patients died on Thursday in five hospitals.
