Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin today convened a meeting of Health department to review the arrangements put in place for the containment of of the Covid -19.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent, District Hospital Shopian, Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer, Tehsildar, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and other concerned were present in the meeting.
The DC directed the health functionaries to work with dedication and gear up activities to provide each and every facility to the patients kept in quarantined centres across the district and urged for sensitization and proper cleanliness in and around the quarantined centres. He directed the health department to activate PHCs to pull out the load.
He asked the concerned to prioritize the screening and testing the persons having travel history to avert the spread of the virus.
The District administration is in full swing and fully prepared to meet any eventuality, add the DC. He said sufficient stock of equipment and other related essentials have already been kept reserved to facilitate the affected patients of the district.
