District administration under the guidance of District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, has started the preparation of ration kits for distribution among the needy across the district, to ensure that the destitute, distressed and the migrant labourers stuck in the district do not face any shortage of food material during the ongoing lockdown restrictions amid Corona virus threat.
In order to ensure that the kits reach the deserving beneficiaries, it has been decided that the kits would be distributed among the destitute identified by the PRI’s, and BDOs of all the blocks.
District administration has engaged Nodal Officers for the distribution of essential commodities and monitoring of preparation and packing of the kits so as to cater to the needs of destitute and the migrant labourers.
The administration has distributed 297 kits among deserving beneficiaries in various blocks of the district and 54 kits have been dispatched to Bhaderwah and Bhalla for further distribution. The administration will distribute 4000 ration kits among needy in the first phase of distribution.
