Husband wife duo tested positive for Covid-19 ransacked the hospital with the help of their relatives after they refused to accept the hospital tests in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Sources told that husband, wife duo were admitted at Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam hospital where they were tested positive for Covid-19. Ironically, the couple termed the report fabricated and with the help of their relatives ransacked the hospital, forcing police to intervene.

Medico, Dr Muzaffar at Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam said that the couple created ruckus in the hospital. The couple live adjacent to the hospital and thus with the help of locals and relatives ransacked the hospital. They broke even window panes but with the help of police they were brought to JLNM Rainawari Hospital in an ambulance.

Interestingly again, the couple refused to come down from the ambulance and created ruckus again. Finally, with the help of police and JLNM Hospital staff, they were evacuated from the ambulance and shifted to isolation wards.

“They are basically upset and we have to understand their mental level. They are asymptomatic and believe that they are Coronavirus free. We have to treat them affectionately,” said a medico at JLNM Hospital .

Meanwhile, JLNM Rainawari Hospital received two more positive patients on Tuesday afternoon. Both these patients are females and were quarantined in Zakura area.

JLNM has 25 Covid-19 patients who are admitted in isolation wards. Yesterday, two little sisters were discharged after they were test negative. ( KNT )
