COVID-19: More than 1700 samples collected at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MAY 04 2020

Under the initiative to bring stranded labourers to their home town and conducting their tests for COVID-19, all such people belonging from Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur Districts are sampled at Udhampur.

In this regard DDC Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla has made elaborate arrangements for collection of samples for COVID-19 test for these people. He informed that 11 teams of health department are working at different locations to collect samples and more than 2400 people of these four districts have returned from outside J&K and out of which samples of more than 1700 people have been collected so far.

After collection of samples these people are sent to their respective districts for mandatory Administrative quarantine, he added.
DDC informed that district administration has set up 56 quarantine centres with capacity of 4378 persons at different locations in the district and effective arrangements have been put in place for the functioning of these centres.
