Normal life across Jammu and Kashmir continued to remain affected due to the lockdown for the 19th straight day on Monday in wake of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic with people preferring to stay indoors.

The police and paramilitary troopers continued to remain deployed on the roads to enforce the restrictions here.

Witnesses said that the forces deployed since the wee morning hours on roads had erected concertina wires, thus halting the vehicular as well as pedestrians’ movement.

The restrictions were imposed by the government to prevent the virus from spreading.

It is worth to mention here that 109 positive cases have been detected in Jammu and Kashmir so far while two among them have died and four others recovered.

Many people have so far been booked by the concerned authorities for violating the government’s prohibitory orders.
