COVID-19: Restrictions imposed in Tral, SDPO appeals people to stay indoors

Restrictions were imposed by administration & police in Tral area of South Kashmir on Tuesday, in wake of growing COVID-19 cases, across the Kashmir valley.

All the entry & exit points leading towards the main town were sealed by the police, volunteers & paramilitary forces by using concertina wires, to stop public movement, in order to contain COVID-19 spread.

To personally review the situation, ADC Tral S.A. Raina, Naib Tehsildar Tral, SDPO, Tral, Dr. Aijaz Malik, SHO Tral GM Rather and other officials were also present, on the occasion.

SDPO Aijaz Malik has however appealed all the people to stay at home till 03 May, to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

He met all the volunteers at Bus Stand area, and guided them, for the upcomimg assignments related to COVID-19.

“We have volunteers in each and every village, who are giving us details related to the movement & gatherings of the people. Whosoever will be found violating the orders shall be dealt as per law,” SDPO said.

Meanwhile, DIG CRPF visited Tral area today afternoon to review the security arrangements there.
