CRPF 61st Battalion celebrates 46th raising day with grand event in Srinagar

The 61st Battalion of the CRPF celebrated its 46th Raising Day with a grand function on 9th August 2024.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG of Srinagar Sector CRPF, along with senior CRPF officers from across the Valley.

The celebrations kicked off with a “Cultural Night and Bara Khana” for personnel and their families. During the event, Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav addressed the gathering, distributed trophies and rewards to CRPF personnel and children from the cultural team, and lauded the unit’s dedication to serving the nation.

He also commended their efforts in maintaining law and order and conducting CI (Ops) duties in Srinagar.

Sh. Sudhanshu Shekhar, Commandant of the 61 Bn CRPF, expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest and highlighted the battalion’s achievements in the region.

The 46th Raising Day celebration was a significant occasion, reinforcing the battalion’s commitment to protecting the nation and serving the community.
