New Delhi, Jan 26: The rich cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir was showcased in all its vibrancy at the Republic Day Parade in the national capital on Sunday, as the Union Territory’s tableau captivated audiences with a colourful display of traditional crafts, folk music, and dance forms.

The tableau highlighted the region’s centuries-old artistic legacy, featuring intricate handloom textiles, papier-mâché art, wood carvings, and motifs inspired by Kashmir’s natural beauty. Artisanship synonymous with the Valley reflected the skill and cultural continuity passed down through generations.

Adding rhythm and soul to the presentation, folk performers enthralled spectators with traditional music and dance, echoing themes of harmony, spirituality, and community life. The performance drew loud applause from the audience lining Kartavya Path, as well as dignitaries seated at the ceremonial enclosure.

The Jammu & Kashmir tableau stood as a tribute to the Union Territory’s cultural diversity and artistic excellence, reinforcing the spirit of unity in diversity that lies at the heart of India’s Republic Day celebrations.
