DC Kulgam visits Daderkoot, provides immediate relief to fire-affected families

Kulgam, Nov 02: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today visited Daderkoot village to express solidarity with families affected by a devastating fire incident, and to oversee the distribution of emergency relief.

During the visit, the DC conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and assured them of comprehensive support from the District Administration.

As an immediate relief measure, he distributed Rs, 50,000 cheques to each affected family.

It was also informed that 50,000 under Red cross and Rs.1.20 lakh has been sanctioned under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) on a war footing to ensure further assistance to each affected family.

In addition, essential supplies, including blankets, food kits, and utensils from the Red Cross, were provided to aid the victims in this challenging time.

Accompanying the DC were Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Tehsildar Kulgam and other officials.

The DC urged the public to take extra precautions to prevent such incidents. He also emphasized the importance of staying alert and using the district’s emergency control room for prompt assistance in emergencies and people can reach out for help at the following numbers, 9103424365. 01931-295900.
