DC Pulwama reviews availability of critical farm inputs Asks licensed Pesticide & Fertilizer shops to remain open from 09:00am to 10:00am under Departmental Supervision

PULWAMA, APRIL 7 2020

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Pulwama , Dr Raghav Langer, chaired a meeting regarding the opening of pesticides and fertilizers shops during the lockdown in the district, here today.

The meeting was attended by Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer and other concerned officers and officials .

Keeping in view the importance of the timely availability of critical farm inputs and restoration of horticulture and agriculture activity in the District , the DDC urged the officers and field functionaries to strictly adhere to the guidelines laid down for the containment and management of COVI-19 while carrying out departmental activities.

He directed the wholesale and retail Pesticide Dealers to make requisite pesticides available in the district and to remain operational from 9:00am to 10:00am every day for one week, while strictly maintaining the social distancing under the supervision of concerned Horticulture Development Officers.

On the occasion the Pesticides Dealers Association, Pulwama, presented a cheque of Rs.2 lakh to DDC for Covid-19 relief fund.

Earlier, DDC visited Community Health Centre, Rajpora and took stock of the facilities provided to the patients there. He also inspected the functioning of Dialysis unit and urged medical staff to provide requisite facilities to the patients during these trying times.
