DC Srinagar appeals people not to panic, Samples of fish taken for test, results soon

Srinagar:-We have taken water samples as well as the samples of fish. Most of the fish washed up ashore are not dead, suggesting prima facie absence of a poisonous substance.

Appealing public not to panic, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, in a statement, said that they taken water samples as well as the samples of fish.

Technical team visited various spots & suggest further tests which will be done immediately.

However general public is requested not to panic. The administration is seized of the matter & working hard to ensure that no untoward incidents occur.
