Akshay Labroo lauds coordinated efforts of civil, police authorities for peaceful celebrations at Ganpatya Temple
Srinagar, Sept 14 : Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo on Monday extended greetings to people celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi and appreciated the arrangements made by the civil and police authorities for the festival at Ganpatya Temple in Srinagar.
Speaking to reporters during his visit to the temple, as per news agency , DC Labroo said Ganesh Chaturthi has been celebrated at the temple for many years, with people from various organisations, local communities and different professions participating in the festivities.
He expressed happiness over the peaceful and smooth conduct of the celebrations, saying it was a privilege to visit the temple and join the festivities.
The Deputy Commissioner also thanked the police and civil authorities, including the departments responsible for electricity, water supply, roads and sanitation, for making the necessary arrangements in coordination with stakeholders and social organisations.
He also extended heartfelt greetings to all those celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in Srinagar and across the region.
