District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting of concerned officers, field and technical staff of Rural Development Department (RDD) to review the progress of works made under Centrally Sponsored schemes including MGNREGA, 14th F.C, 15th F.C, SBM and PMAY.

The DDC stressed upon the officers to accelerate the developmental tempo across the district and ensure speedy completion of all ongoing developmental projects. He directed all officers, field and technical staff of Rural Development Department to ensure the best kind material is used in all development works to maintain quality standards.

Stressing upon the engineers to maintain timeline, the DDC gave deadline for completion of many developmental projects.

On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) briefed the DDC about the present status of works going on in the district. He informed the meeting that 3.11 lakh mandays of work have been generated in the district during current financial year so far covering 11827 households for employment opportunities.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Nazir Ahmad Lone; Assistant Commissioner Development, Abdul Majeed; District Panchayat Officer, Shujaat Qureshi; Executive Engineer REW, Block Development Officers, Technical staff of RDD and other concerned attended the meeting.
