Srinagar, Apr 10 : Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday welcomed the de-escalation of tensions in West Asia, expressing relief that the “war has stopped” and calling for lasting peace across the world.

“Thank God the war has stopped. I hope it remains stopped in the future as well, peace prevails in the world and we all benefit from it,” the veteran leader told reporters here as per KNS.
